Mountain Atmosphere
Saturday. I woke early, drawn by the promise of something new this weekend.
For the past week, I had watched the mist, low cloud, and rain move slowly through the mountains that cradle the school. Today felt like the right time to finally explore the valleys and ridges that had been calling to me.
A cab ride, a bus, a cheap hotel — and then a day spent walking through a mountain atmosphere that felt otherworldly.
The clouds drifted slowly on the breeze, creating images that reminded me of the Chinese paintings I’ve seen in the past. To say it was mesmerising would be an understatement. It felt like a scene from another time, another place.
A gift, showing me how small I am, how much there is still to discover, and how quickly time slips away before I ever have the chance to fully grasp it.
I had a beautiful day, one that I hope leads into an equally beautiful night. It’s the simplest gifts that make me feel most alive, and being able to capture those moments, just with the company of my camera, made it all the more special.
Today was beautiful. Tomorrow is unknown. With that in mind, I can honestly say I’m looking forward to every moment.
