A Day Without Edges

Another Monday came and went, like ideas carried on a soft breeze. Just another quiet day of training in the Wudang Mountains.

Nothing stood out. Conversations passed without friction. Practice unfolded without resistance. Lessons settled slowly, without needing to be held onto. Time moved in its usual way — fast enough to notice, slow enough to sit inside.

The staff form I am learning revealed a little more of itself today. Not in any dramatic way. Just small pieces, appearing without effort, without the weight of getting it right or wrong.

It’s not quite there yet.
More like something beginning to take shape.
Something I can spend time with.

A quiet companion, slowly becoming familiar.

The day drifted gently into evening. Nothing was gained, nothing was lost.

I don’t feel lucky to have had it.

Just thankful for the small, unnoticed moments that came and went without asking to be remembered.
