When the Body Draws the Line

Yesterday asked for attention in a way that couldn’t be ignored.

The hips tightened suddenly. Pain spreading outward, sharp enough to change everything. Movement slowed. Stretching didn’t seem to reach it.

It felt like the body had decided, without discussion, that enough was enough.

Looking back, it’s not difficult to see why.

A new direction taken, and taken fully. More intensity than needed. Not unusual.

Just the way things sometimes unfold.

The lesson wasn’t hidden.

Push, then pause.

Not as a reaction, but as part of the process.

There’s a balance somewhere between effort and restraint. Easy to talk about. Less easy to hold onto in the moment.

For now, things shift again.

Less focus on the hips. More return to the basics. Letting the body settle while still moving forward.

A quieter approach.

The last day of the week passed slowly. Nothing rushed. Just doing what was needed and leaving the rest alone.

By the end of it, there was a sense of something closing.

Two months back at the school. New forms learnt. Progress made in ways that don’t always show immediately.

And now, a break.

A step away from it all for a short while.

Not to stop.

Just to see things from somewhere else.
