Staying With What Doesn’t Move
The pain is still there.
It arrives each day without much variation. Not sharp enough to stop everything, but constant enough to shape how the day unfolds.
There’s a quiet hope that it will fade.
For now, it hasn’t.
It’s disappointing in a simple way. Not dramatic. Just something that sits in the background and asks to be acknowledged.
The expectation is modest.
Not improvement.
Not performance.
Just for the hips to feel stable. Reliable enough to support everything else.
At the moment, they don’t.
It feels like something has stalled. Not regressed. Just… paused.
Time has been given to it. Different approaches, different methods. Each one explored with the same intention.
None of them have quite reached it.
Which suggests there’s still something missing.
Not obvious yet.
Just out of view.
So today shifts slightly.
Less doing.
More looking.
Resting, but not stepping away completely. Letting the body settle while the mind turns over possible directions.
Yesterday was spent with the Dao. Sitting with it. Letting it move through the edges of understanding.
Today, the same attention turns elsewhere.
Not expecting answers.
Just allowing space for something to appear.
There’s a sense that knowledge opens doors, but doesn’t walk you through them.
That part remains yours.
And for now, that’s enough.
Nothing has been solved.
But there’s no need for it to be.
The path is still there.
Even if it hasn’t fully revealed itself yet.
