When Everything Asks for Attention

The search for balance continues.

Each step forward seems to meet something unexpected. Not resistance exactly, just a shift that changes the direction slightly.

It makes the ground feel less certain.

Still, the work goes on.

A new form has entered the rhythm — the broadsword. Large, open movements. Demanding, but enjoyable. There’s something familiar in it, even this early on.

Learning comes easier now.

But something else has begun to surface alongside it.

All the forms are still there.

Layered.

One resting on top of another.

Each one asking for time. For attention. For something more than just repetition.

It starts to feel like they’re waiting.

Not to be performed.

But to be understood.

There’s a distance in them lately. Subtle, but noticeable. The movements are there, but the feeling behind them feels quieter than before.

As if something has been spread too thin.

There’s no clear answer to it yet.

Just a sense that something needs to change.

Not in effort.

But in approach.

For now, it stays unresolved.

Left to settle in its own way.

Sometimes clarity doesn’t arrive through searching.

It appears when the movement slows enough to let it.
