Every Choice, a Vote for the Life You Get

I woke early in a beautiful bed. Large, soft, comfortable, things I haven't felt in some time. These past few years have taught me to live well inside discomfort, until it stopped feeling like discomfort at all and simply became the baseline. But every so often, a moment like this arrives and reminds me of a life I didn't realise I still missed. And in that old life, if I'm honest, there was plenty I still find real joy in.

The filming went well again, more laughing while we worked, more good footage stacking up into something that's starting to feel like an actual shape. I've always known roughly what I wanted this business to look and feel like, and it was good to come back to my small room afterwards, sketch out a few visual ideas, and put them in front of Louis and Bling so we could all start seeing the same early picture forming.

Dinner with a couple of friends last night was fun, if a little louder than I prefer. I sat quietly and listened until the table thinned out, then let myself join in properly. I'm not entirely sure why that's always my instinct; maybe I've simply grown more used to smaller circles. The truth is, I've never had much appetite for competing to be heard. I'd rather wait for the conversation worth stepping into, one where listening carries as much weight as talking. It's the exchange I find genuinely rewarding, and the one I'll keep choosing.

Filming again tomorrow, a long day, hopefully a good one. There's a lot still to shoot and shape as this young business finds its legs, but every step right now feels aimed at something we're all seeing clearly together, something that could become genuinely special.

Early days still. But everything I've ever cared about started life as nothing more than a dream, and with the right effort behind it, eventually became something real enough to shape who I was becoming. This feels like a lucky life at the moment. It isn't luck, though. It's simply the result of a long line of decisions, made one at a time. It's easy to forget how much control sits in our own hands, that the choices we make quietly become the life we end up living. That idea has never felt truer than it does right now.
